Everyone can learn. Everyone knows something that someone else doesn't know. So if more of us learned how to teach effectively and online, then we could rapidly spread knowledge and wisdom as far as the internet can reach.
EdGurus.com was conceived as a place to find current, practical, and comprehensive information for learning about, and creating, online education content. It was founded by Roy Stripling, a training, education, assessment, and evaluation researcher at UCLA's National Center for Research on Evaluation, Standards, and Student Testing (CRESST) and former Navy program officer for Human Performance, Training, and Education. Dr. Stripling originally conceived of EdGurus after seeing too many online training and education tools make learning harder than it needed to be. He envisioned EdGurus as a way to share practical knowledge on what works and how to create effective online education and training experiences. The key to it all: keep it simple, and keep it up to date. To achieve this vision takes more than one person working by themselves, so EdGurus.com relies on its visitors, users, and members to share their knowledge and wisdom. At EdGurus, you are the guru.
